Privacy Policy

Information you give us

Account: your username, email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash; we cannot read them. You may also upload a profile picture.

Sites: the name and street address of each site you add. We convert the address to latitude and longitude and to a National Weather Service forecast grid point so we can look up forecasts for it.

Inspectors: the name, email address and (optionally) phone number of inspectors you add, so we can email them reports. Only add people who have agreed to receive these emails.

Settings: your email report preferences (whether and when to send, and whether to send on days with no predicted QPE) and display preferences.

Subscription: your plan, its status and any discount code used. Payments are handled by Stripe. We store the customer and subscription IDs Stripe gives us; we never see or store your card number.

Information collected automatically

• Cookies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, a “remember me” cookie if you choose that option, and cookies set by Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but you will need to sign in again and some features may not work.
• Log files: our servers record your IP address, browser type, pages requested, referring page and date/time.
• Usage events: we record actions you take in the application, such as signing up, confirming your email and adding or editing a site, to understand how the application is used.

How we use your information

• To run QPE Assistant: look up forecasts for your sites, predict QPEs and show them to you.
• To send the emails you ask for: daily reports to you and reports to the inspectors you add.
• To send account emails, such as email confirmation and password resets.
• To provide support, including viewing your account as you see it when you ask us for help.
• To secure the service, prevent fraud and fix problems.
• To understand and improve how the application is used.
• To tell you about our products and services. You can opt out at any time (see Marketing Communications in our Terms of Use).

Service providers we share information with

We share personal information only with the providers below, and only what they need to do their job for us:

Google Analytics: device information and pages viewed, to measure how the application is used.

Mixpanel: your email address, username, email-confirmation status, number of active sites and profile picture, plus usage events. Site events include the site name, address, coordinates and forecast grid point.

Google Maps Platform: the site addresses you enter, to find their coordinates.

National Weather Service (NOAA): forecast grid coordinates only. No names, emails or addresses are sent.

Stripe: your email address and billing details, to process payments and run the billing portal.

Microsoft (Outlook email): recipient email addresses and email content, to deliver our emails.

Akamai (Linode): hosts our servers and database.

We may also disclose information to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, or protect our rights, and to a successor if our business is sold or merged. Digame Systems does not sell or rent your personal information, and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Do not track

We do not change our data collection and usage practices in response to Do Not Track signals from your browser.

Data retention

You retain ownership of content you create. We keep your information while you have an account, and afterward only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Forecast records for your sites are kept to build your forecast history.

Your rights

You can see and edit most of your information on your Account and Sites pages. You may also ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete your account and its data. California residents have these rights under California law. To make a request, email support@digamesystems.com or use Request account deletion on your Account page. We will confirm your identity before acting, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Minors

The QPE Assistant application is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. If you are under 18, do not use Digame Systems’ services, as we do not knowingly process personal information from individuals under 18.

Changes

This policy is effective September 2026. We may update it from time to time for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons, and will post the new date here. For significant changes we will also notify you by email.
